Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
This policy covers the Super OBG Academy website (superobg.in), its student learning portal, and the Super OBG Android and iOS apps — together, "the Service." It explains what we collect, why, and how it's protected.
Who we are
Super OBG Academy is a super-speciality coaching academy for Obstetrics & Gynaecology (NEET SS, FET, INI-SS exam coaching and certificate courses). For any privacy question or request, reach us via the contact details on our Contact page.
What we collect
Depending on how you use the Service:
- Account details — name, email, phone, and your password (never stored in plain text — see Security below).
- Enquiry details — whatever you submit through an enquiry or enrollment form, and which course(s) you're interested in or enrolled in.
- Payment records — course fee payments are processed by Razorpay; we store the resulting payment/plan record, not your card or bank details, which never reach our servers at all.
- Learning activity — quiz attempts and scores, lesson progress, assignment submissions, doubts you ask, and live-class attendance, so mentors can track your progress and you can see your own history. In the Question Bank app this also includes the questions you have answered (and whether you got them right), your bookmarks, your practice sessions and your daily streak.
- Support requests — if you write to our support team, we keep the conversation, the name and email you gave (or your account's, if you were signed in), any phone number you chose to add, any screenshots or PDFs you attached, and the type of browser or device you used, so we can reply and fix the problem. Attachments can be opened only by you and our support team.
- Questions you ask mentors — when you use "Ask a mentor", we keep what you write, a copy of the question you asked about (with the correct answer and the option you chose), and the mentor's reply. Only you and the mentors and administrators of the academy can see it.
- Device/app data — a session cookie (
sobg_session) or, on the apps, an equivalent session token, so you stay signed in. The apps may also report that a screenshot or screen recording was taken while viewing protected material (see Content protection below). - Crash reports (mobile apps) — if the app crashes, the next time it opens it sends us the technical error details, the app version and your phone's make, model and Android or iOS version, so we can fix the fault. These reports don't contain your name, email or answers. We keep a rolling list of recent distinct crashes and clear it from time to time.
- Stored on your phone — your theme, text size and reminder settings, and any test you have left part-way so you can resume it. Part-finished tests are removed when you log out.
- Technical logs — basic request logs and an admin-visible activity log of account and content changes, kept for security and troubleshooting.
We do not run advertising trackers or analytics pixels (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar) anywhere on the Service.
Why we collect it
- To create and secure your account, and keep you signed in.
- To give you access to the courses/tests you've enrolled in or bought, and to nobody else's.
- To let mentors grade assignments, answer your doubts, and see class attendance.
- To send you account-related email (enrollment confirmation, password resets, class reminders) and, if you opt in, push notifications.
- To show the optional daily practice reminder in the Android app, if you turn it on in Settings. The notification is created on your phone; when it runs, the app asks our servers how many questions you have answered so it can stay silent if you have already practised today.
- To find and fix faults in the apps, using crash reports.
- To protect course material from unauthorized sharing — see the next section.
Content protection & watermarking
Course videos, notes, PDFs, slides and question-bank material are licensed for your personal use only. To protect against unauthorized redistribution, protected material is shown with a watermark carrying your name and email, and — on the apps — screenshots and screen recordings are blocked or logged while viewing it. This is applied to genuine course content only, never used to track your activity elsewhere.
What the mobile apps can access on your phone
The Question Bank app uses the internet to talk to our servers, and — only if you turn on the daily reminder — your permission to show notifications. It does not use your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files, and it does not read your advertising ID.
Educational use only
The Service is exam preparation and education for doctors. It is not medical advice and must not be used to make decisions about patient care.
Sharing your data
We do not share your data with anyone. We don't sell it, rent it, or give it to advertisers, data brokers or any other company to use for their own purposes.
The only companies that handle it are the service providers that run the Service for us — Razorpay (payments), Google (email, enquiry records and the chatbot), YouTube (lesson videos) and Cloudflare (file storage). They act only on our instructions, solely to keep the Service working.
Security
Everything sent between the website or apps and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed (never stored as plain text) and sessions use signed, HTTP-only cookies. Access to course material and personal data is checked on every request — a student can only reach courses they're actually enrolled in, and staff access is limited by role. All admin and staff actions on user data are recorded in an activity log.
Your choices
- You can ask us to correct or delete your account — contact us and we'll act on it. Deleting an account is recoverable for a short grace period (in case of mistakes or compromised access), after which it's permanently erased.
- Push notifications are opt-in and can be turned off any time from your account settings. The Android app's daily reminder is off until you turn it on, and can be turned off again in the app's Settings.
- To have your account and learning data deleted — including everything the apps hold about you — contact us using the details on our Contact page. You can also log out of an app at any time, which removes anything it has saved on your phone.
- You can ask what data we hold about you at any time.
Children's privacy
The Service is built for postgraduate medical exam preparation and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the update.
